Hardware interrupts high cpu usage windows xp
As I was getting my software out, Said what would happen if I just took out the controllers and let them come back in. That's what reloading windows would do. Uninstalled every one that was there. Didn't Reboot until the last one was ready for uninstall. I Must Say It was worth the try since I was getting ready to reload Windows, anyway! Add This to the Fix List!

Well, what is using so much CPU? In the process explorer i downloaded, it shows that the hardware interrupts process is using the cpu so much. But i have no idea why and how to fix it. Try a different mouse and keyboard. You may have a sticking key or some such. Well, i already did that. I had it hooked up to my keyboard, mouse and monitor when i installed windows and the cpu usage was high. Right now, its hooked up to a completely different keyboard, mouse and monitor but the cpu usage hasnt changed.
I also just tried installing xp sp3 which didnt work either. Maybe theres something wrong with some hardware inside the computer? It didnt work either unfortunately. I was thinking, i know that the nfore3 chipset is apparently quite buggy.

Join Date Jan Posts You should try to download the latest set of drivers for the motherboard that you have. And then try to start by installing the chipset drivers and then uninstall each of the remaining device drivers and then install the newer driver for same.
Also, check to see if there are any newer drivers for the NIC that you have installed.
